5 Things I've Been Loving Lately - Makeup and Beauty Blog
1. Tops with back detailing
Cutouts and braids and peek-a-boo details, oh, my! I'm into tops with beautiful back action right now, considering, allow'due south be honest…the only part of my body NOT covered in food at any given moment is my upper back. And if it'south the only function of me that's going to be devoid of half-chewed Annie'due south Cheddar Bunnies and organic string cheese, past golly, it'due south going to be beautiful!
2. Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior Pink Plumping Mask
This moisturizing gel mask is pinkish and sparkly — although I tin can't quite effigy out how the shimmer works, considering I don't really see information technology on my pare when I look direct at it; it'south like sneaky side sparkle — and smells a like little like a triple berry smoothie.
It's SUPER hydrating, likewise. I've been using it a few times a week in the morning when my skin feels even drier than usual.
When I apply a layer afterward cleansing and toning in the forenoon, swallow breakfast and putter around for a scrap, and so wash it off, my pare looks and feels plump and moisturized. Kate South. says the moisture magic is from something called "HA3," which stands for three types of hyaluronic acid, but actually, every time I run across "HA3" on the jar, I retrieve "Ha-Ha-Ha!" instead. 🙂
All jokes aside, I love this as a makeup prep step in the a.m. because everything I put on top of my skin after it — foundation, concealer, powder, etc. — looks much smoother.
3. Classical Fine art Memes
These are totally a affair.
iv. Farmhouse decor
I've been playing with the idea of redecorating my office in a farmhouse-meets-modern theme. I'1000 not into overly distressed piece of furniture or stuff that'southward in-your-face land cottage, but I similar the cozy, airy, welcoming experience of farmhouse decor, and then I'k trying to think of a way to combine it with clean, modern lines (more my manner).
I similar the idea of light caramel-colored woods mixed with warm grays, beige and blue, perchance with tropical green plants (which I know aren't farmhouse-y, just I similar 'em) scattered here and there.
5. Lavender Le Creuset
Take I ever told yous that purple is my favorite colour or that every single thing in this line would match my lavender KitchenAid mixer perfectly? I don't own whatever Le Creuset pieces because they're so pricey, but if I had extra dejeuner money, I'd happily start a collection with the Signature Cast-Atomic number 26 Skillet ($164.95, OMG!) or the seven.25-qt Signature Circular Dutch Oven ($369.95, holy crap).
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
